Arrival and departure

When can I check in, and when do I have to check out? Check-in is from 3 pm, check-out by 10.30 am. If you would rather be in your apartment after a long drive, add the early check-in from 1 pm for 20 euros. If you would rather spend the morning in the park, stay until 12 noon for 25 euros. You choose both in the booking system under the optional services, subject to availability.

How do I get in if I arrive late? Through the key safe. You receive the code by message before you arrive, and it works around the clock. In your apartment you will find a folder with everything you need for your first evening and first morning.

Where is the entrance? At the main gate of the estate, which stands open. On the grounds, signs lead you up to your apartment. Full directions: Arrival.

How much is parking? Nothing. You park right in front of your apartment. The electric vehicle charging point in the courtyard is charged by consumption.

How far is it to Hanover, the airport and the exhibition grounds? Around 15 minutes to the edge of Hanover, around 20 to the city centre, around 15 minutes to the airport and about 30 minutes to the exhibition grounds, all by car.

Food and drink

Is breakfast included in the price? Yes, in every rate, even for a single night. Breakfast is served daily from 7.30 to 10 am in the breakfast room.

Is there a restaurant in the house or in the village? Not in the house or the village, but breakfast is always included, every unit has its own kitchen, and coffee, tea and cake are available all day in the lounge. Our favourite places for dinner in Garbsen and at the Blauer See are a few minutes away by car: Food and drink.

Are lactose-free, gluten-free or vegan products available? Yes, just let us know on arrival.

Is there a bar? Yes, in the lounge: an honesty bar, open around the clock. You note down what you take on a list, and it is settled when you check out.

Can I cook for myself? Yes. Every unit has a kitchen or kitchenette with a hob, fridge and crockery.

The house

What is the minimum age for staying with you? Bookings can be made by guests aged 18 and over, accompanying guests can come from the age of 12, and then they are warmly welcome. The house is built for quiet: fourteen units in a park, no restaurant, no entertainment programme. For small children there is little here to enjoy, no playground and no childcare, and hence the age limit.

Are pets allowed? Much as we love animals here, pets you bring with you are not possible. You will still see dogs in some of our photographs, along with alpacas, hens and swans. The animals belong to the estate, the dogs to the owner family, who live here themselves.

Is there air conditioning? We are happy to put a fan in your apartment; the units have no air conditioning. Beneath the roof it can get warm on hot days, so tell us beforehand and the fan will be in the room when you arrive. If you are sensitive to heat, the lower floors suit you better; call us and we will find the right unit for you.

Is there a ground-floor apartment? Yes, apartment 01 Diamantfasan, at ground level with parking right outside the door. If you travel with limited mobility, please give us a quick call before you book, and we will go through the details with you directly.

How quiet is it? Quiet enough that guests mention it specifically in their reviews. The grounds are large enough that nobody hears their neighbours, and quiet hours run from 9 pm to 6 am. Smoking is outdoors, in the marked areas.

Is there Wi-Fi? Yes, free of charge throughout the house.

Sauna, sport and park

When is the sauna open? Around the clock. You switch it on yourself; it needs a short time to heat up.

How much does it cost to use the sauna, fitness room and tennis court? Nothing. The sauna, fitness room, tennis court, the Grillkota by reservation and the bicycles are free for all guests.

Can I swim in the pond? Yes, in the natural swimming pond in front of the apartments. It is a natural body of water and is not supervised, and the stones at the entry point can be slippery. Swimming is at your own risk.

Which animals live on the estate? Hens, geese, white and black swans, alpacas, bees, and the hosts' dogs and cats. The animal enclosures are at least three hundred metres from the apartments.

Booking and payment

How and when do I pay? The stay is paid in full at the time of booking, by credit card, PayPal or other common payment methods.

What are the cancellation terms? You will see the cancellation terms for your rate in the booking system before you complete your booking. They are also set out in our terms and conditions.

Can three of us come? Yes, in 06 Singschwan, 08 Paradiesvogel, 11 Nymphensittich and 12 Kronenkranich; the large suites 13 and 14 take up to five guests. The third guest costs €70 per night, including breakfast, regardless of age. Drop us a line and we will tell you which unit suits.

Is it cheaper to book direct? Yes. With the voucher code VIP25 we take 25 per cent off the total, extras included. You enter the code in the booking system in the field Discount code, tap once beside it, and the deduction appears in the bill. On top of that you deal with us rather than with a platform.

Can I stay longer, for weeks or months? Yes. Every unit has its own kitchen, and for longer stays we agree the price with you personally: Long stay.

Do you offer vouchers? Yes, for an amount or for a particular stay: Vouchers.
