Fourteen apartments and suites in their own park, a quarter of an hour from Hanover.

First, the most important thing, so that you know before you book rather than on arrival: the Schlossresidenz has no restaurant, and there is none in the village of Schloss Ricklingen either. In return, breakfast is included in every rate, every unit has its own kitchen, and the nearest restaurants are a few minutes away by car.

Breakfast

Served daily from 7.30 to 10 am in the breakfast room, even if you are staying just one night. At its heart is the long table where guests breakfast together; alongside it are separate tables for anyone who prefers to keep to themselves. And for anyone who wants the morning entirely to themselves: every unit has a full kitchen of its own.

A good part of what comes to the table is from the estate itself: eggs from our own hens, honey from our own bees, fruit and strawberries from the garden. Add to that freshly baked bread, pressed juices, ginger shots, and always flowers.

Special requests can be arranged on arrival: decaffeinated coffee, lactose-free milk, gluten-free bread, a vegan selection. You can also buy honey from the estate to take home with you.

All day long

In the lounge, coffee, tea and water are available around the clock, with cake in the display cabinet. The honesty bar is open at any time; you note down what you take on a list, and we settle it when you check out.

Your own kitchen

Every unit has a kitchen or kitchenette with a hob, fridge and crockery. Many guests cook for themselves in the evening, especially when they stay several nights. For shopping, Garbsen is a few minutes away.

In the park there is also the Grillkota, a Scandinavian-style hut with a fire pit. It is free for guests; let us know in advance and we will reserve it for you.

For a special evening

Hanover is a quarter of an hour away and has a restaurant scene worth exploring: starred cooking, restaurants in historic settings, terraces on the Maschsee lake. Our personal recommendations for a special evening are in the guest folder you receive after booking. Ask us on arrival; we are glad to help.

Why there is no restaurant in the house

Fourteen units cannot support a restaurant of their own, and a half-empty dining room would cost exactly the peace that guests come here for. So we have chosen a breakfast you will not forget, and a kitchen in every unit. If you are arriving late, it is best to plan in advance where you will have dinner.
