Getting here, finding the entrance and your first minutes in the house.

Sometimes they are simply in the way.
The Schlossresidenz is in Schloss Ricklingen, a village that is part of Garbsen, a good twelve kilometres west of the Hanover city limits and just under twenty from the centre. The address is Burgstraße 20, 30826 Schloss Ricklingen (Garbsen).
A tip that saves you a lap
The guest entrance is not at the main gate but on the side road to the left of it. From there, the drive leads into the park and right up to your apartment. The main gate shows a different house number; do not let that throw you.
By car
Via the A2: take the Garbsen Nord exit, then follow Burgstraße until you reach Schloss Ricklingen. The gate to the estate is on the left after about 500 metres, at the first gentle left-hand bend; the guest entrance is the side road to the left of it.
From Hanover city centre: take the B6 out of the city towards Nienburg, turn left at Meyenfeld and continue via Horst to Schloss Ricklingen. In the village, drive via “Brandmoor” and “Im Dorfe”, turn left into “Große Rehre” and after around 300 metres turn right into Burgstraße. Driving time about 20 minutes.
From Hannover-Langenhagen Airport: take the airport feeder road onto the A352 towards Dortmund, then the A2 to the Garbsen Nord exit. Driving time around 16 minutes.
Parking is free, right in front of your apartment. There is an electric vehicle charging point in the courtyard, charged by consumption.

By bus and train
The nearest railway station is Wunstorf, from where the RE8 runs to Hannover Hauptbahnhof. Bus route 410 stops in the village. By public transport, it takes around an hour to get to Hanover city centre. If you are travelling without a car, the last stretch is best planned by taxi.
By helicopter
Arrival by helicopter is possible by arrangement. We provide a suitable landing area in the park and give the landowner's consent; the operator obtains the off-airfield landing permit required under aviation law. Please get in touch with us well in advance.
Arriving
Check-in from 3 pm. There is no desk where you have to wait. You receive the code for the key safe by message before you arrive; it works around the clock, even if you arrive late in the evening. Whenever it can be arranged, your host will welcome you in person and show you around the house. If not, you will find a folder in your apartment with everything you need to know for your first evening and first morning.
Arriving earlier is possible subject to availability: check-in from 1 pm can be added for 20 euros, in the booking system under the optional services. After a long drive those are two hours in which you are already here instead of waiting.
The first morning and departure
Breakfast is served from 7.30 to 10 am in the breakfast room. Check-out by 10.30 am; if you would rather take the morning with you, stay until 12 noon for 25 euros. You choose that in the booking system under the optional services as well. Please return the key as described in the folder.
Good to know
- Quiet hours in the house run from 9 pm to 6 am.
- Smoking is permitted outdoors only, in the marked areas.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Bookings can be made by guests aged 18 and over; accompanying guests are welcome from the age of 12.
