The Schloss Residenz is located in Garbsen, in the Schloss Ricklingen district, about 17 km west of Hanover, the capital of Lower Saxony. Thanks to the excellent transport links, we can be reached from both Hanover city center and Langenhagen airport in around 20 minutes.

Arrival by car
Coming from Hanover, drive out of town on the B6 towards Nienburg. At Meyenfeld, turn left and drive via Horst directly towards Schloss Ricklingen. Within the village, follow the road via “Brandmoor” and “Im Dorfe”. Turn left into “Große Rehre”, after approx. 300 meters turn right into Burgstraße.
After approx. 100 meters you are in front of the gate of the castle residence.
Arrival by plane
From Hannover Langenhagen Airport, take the airport feeder road onto the A352 towards Dortmund, then onto the A2. After a few kilometers, take the Garbsen Nord exit and follow Burgstraße directly into the village of Schloss Ricklingen. After approx. 500 meters and at the first slight left-hand bend you will see the gate of the Schloss Residenz on the left-hand side.
Arrival by helicopter
The castle park has its own helicopter landing pad / heliport. This is located approx. 150 meters from the main entrance to the Schloss Residenz.
