08 Paradiesvogel: the largest of the eleven, under the roof.
At 60.51 m², the Paradiesvogel (bird-of-paradise) is the largest unit among the eleven. The suite is on the first floor beneath the sloping roof, with a dining table, a kitchen, a bathroom and a guest WC, and the sofa bed makes room for a third guest.
The rooms
A 180 × 200 cm double bed, a living area, a dining table, a kitchen with hob, fridge and crockery, bathroom, guest WC and a hallway. The sloping ceilings give the suite its character. On hot summer days it can get warm beneath them, as there is no air conditioning in the house; we are happy to bring you a fan.
Who it suits
Couples who want the most space, longer stays, and parties of three. The third guest costs €70 per night including breakfast, regardless of age.
Why Paradiesvogel
Birds-of-paradise live in the rainforests of New Guinea and the surrounding islands. They owe their name to European traders who, in the 16th century, received skins without feet and believed these birds lived in paradise and never landed. Today they are famous for their courtship dances, in which the males fold their plumage into impossible shapes.
Included with every stay
Breakfast at the long table, daily from 7.30 to 10 am, parking in front of the door, free Wi-Fi, plus sauna, gym, tennis court, organic swimming pond and bicycles. Check-in from 3 pm via the key safe, check-out by 10.30 am. Guests must be 18 or over to book; accompanying guests are welcome from the age of 12. Pets are not permitted.
