General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of the Schlossresidenz
1. scope of application
1.1 These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts for the rental of apartments and suites of the Schlossresidenz for accommodation as well as to all other services and deliveries provided by the Operator for the Guest in this context.
1.2 The subletting or re-letting of the rented premises and their use for purposes other than accommodation shall require the prior written consent of the Operator.
2. conclusion of contract
2.1 The contract is concluded when the guest’s application is accepted by the Schlossresidenz. The operator is free to confirm the room booking in writing.
3. prices and terms of payment
3.1 The agreed prices include the respective statutory value added tax.
3.2 If the period between conclusion and fulfillment of the contract exceeds four months and the price generally charged by the operator for such services increases, the operator may increase the contractually agreed price appropriately, but by no more than 8%.
3.3 The Operator’s invoices are payable without deduction within 7 days of receipt of the invoice. In the event of late payment, the operator is entitled to charge interest on arrears at the statutory rate.
4. check-in, check-out and use of the premises
4.1 Check-in is from 15:00, check-out by 10:30 at the latest. Late check-outs require prior agreement and may incur additional costs.
4.2 Unregistered guests are not permitted in the apartments and suites. Visitors must be reported to reception in advance.
4.3 There is a night-time quiet period from 21:00 to 06:00. During these times, we ask you to reduce the noise level to a minimum.
5 Cancellation and rebooking conditions
5.1 Standard postings
- Cancellation free of charge is possible up to one week before arrival.
- If you cancel between seven days and one day before arrival, 50% of the total price must be paid.
- If the cancellation is made within 24 hours before arrival, the entire travel price (100%) is due.
5.2 Flex rate bookings
- Guests who have booked the Flex fare can change their booking free of charge (not cancel).
- The rebooking must be for the same booking value.
- The new booking can be made within a period of three years.
- Changes to bookings are subject to availability and must be agreed with the Schlossresidenz in good time.
5.3 Refunds and payment defaults
- Refunds will be credited back to the guest’s means of payment if a refund is provided for in accordance with the cancellation policy above.
- If the guest does not show up (no-show) and no cancellation has been made in advance, the full amount (100%) is due.
5.4 Special circumstances
- In the event of cancellation due to verifiable force majeure (e.g. natural disasters, official travel restrictions), the Schlossresidenz reserves the right to offer accommodating solutions such as rebooking or vouchers.
6. ban on smoking and pets
6.1 The Schlossresidenz is a smoke-free building. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas. Outdoor smoking areas are available.
6.2 Pets are not permitted in the apartments and suites in order to comply with allergy and hygiene standards.
7. use of the facilities and the castle park
7.1 The castle park is exclusively open to guests. Events, barbecues or similar activities require prior written consent.
7.2 Photographs and film recordings that go beyond private use are only permitted with prior approval. Authorized photography and filming will be charged according to the following price list:
Private photo shoots:
- In the castle park: 200 €
- Indoor and outdoor recordings: 400 €
Commercial photo shoots:
- Half-day (4 hours): 400 €
- Full day (8 hours): 700 €
Additional services:
- Use of suites for interior shots: Surcharge of 150 € per hour
- Provision of power connections or specific infrastructure: price on request
7.3 Unauthorized photography, filming or other unauthorized activities may result in the immediate termination of the stay.
8 Liability of the operator and the guest
8.1 The operator is not liable for lost or stolen items unless they have been stored in the safes provided.
8.2 The guest is liable for all damage to the inventory or building caused by him, his visitors or authorized third parties. Damage must be reported to reception immediately.
9. special services
9.1 Our aim is to provide all guests with a pleasant, smooth stay at the Schlossresidenz. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable handling fee for certain exceptional situations that involve additional organizational effort and go beyond the usual procedures.
9.2 This applies in particular, but not exclusively:
– subsequent changes to billing data, especially when switching between private and company addresses
– repeated rebookings or spontaneous cancellations in connection with telephone reservations
– individual support with self-check-in processes provided by the customer
– contacting the customer at night outside reception hours, provided there are no emergencies
9.2 Charges will only be made in justified cases and will be based on the actual additional work involved. We thank you for your understanding and your cooperation in ensuring a smooth process.
10. emergencies
10.1 In the event of an emergency, please contact reception on +49 173 9138081. In the event of a fire alarm, use the escape routes and go to the assembly points.
11 Liability for damage
11.1 The guest is liable for all damage to the building or inventory caused by him, his fellow travelers or visitors – even in the case of negligent behavior. This applies in particular to permanently installed fixtures and fittings such as sanitary facilities or furniture.
11.2 The use of liability insurance is possible, but does not release the customer from the obligation to pay.
12. final provisions
12.1 Amendments or additions to the contract, the acceptance of the application or these terms and conditions should be made in writing. Unilateral amendments or additions by the guest are invalid.
12.2 The place of performance and jurisdiction is Hanover.
