In the <strong>16th century<\/strong>, the former castle was transformed into a prestigious <strong>Renaissance palace<\/strong> that met the living requirements of the nobility. <\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An important phase began in the <strong>18th century<\/strong>, when the castle became the property of the <strong>noble von Alten family<\/strong>. Under their leadership, the castle was further extended and received its baroque elements. Finally, the castle was <strong>taken over by the town of Garbsen in the 20th century<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today, the historic building is privately owned and <strong>not open to the public<\/strong>.
